Neighbourhood Watch, Meeting Highlights (4-May)

Residents had the opportunity to express their safety concerns at the meeting, which included the following highlights:
  1. The Safer Neighbourhood Team (SNT) will increase patrolling of Mercer Court to deter youths loitering in the parking garage.
  2. PC May recommended in his crime prevention report to fence off the Ben Jonson exit by the canal, to reduce one of the escape routes for perpetrators of anti-social behaviour.
  3. Shaique Choudhury (East Thames Neighbourhood Manager) suggested hiring a security guard firm on a trial basis for the summer months.
  4. If residents are disturbed by children playing in the courtyards, please contact your Neighbourhood Manager to complain about noise nuisance.
  5. Residents should not let strangers into the building, not even people distributing leaflets or menus.

Please help us to re-plant around the memorial

Residents are invited on Saturday, 15-May to replant the garden area immediately around the memorial.  It would be wonderful if you could help anytime between 10.30am - 1.00pm to improve the landscaping.  We would like to remove the dead lavender plants and put in new plants where needed.  Please feel free to join our efforts.
